All I know from my experience with IKS codes is deceit and false advertising. My father first heard from a friend that there was a way to receive satellite signal at a lower price because it did not include technical support. I believe that we were misled, like many others, into getting involved with these codes under the cover of "Free to Air" satellite and alleged "IPTV" services. I further researched this for a means of providing some form of television for my father, who, in his elderly age, likes to keep up with various news channels and wanted an affordable means of getting access to same.
In an effort to find my father access to his news channels, I searched the web and saw multiple forum websites talking about IPTV and FTA services. While on the SatFix website, I saw a post about getting access to the exact channels my father was looking for. Unfamiliar with IPTV or FTA, I was excited to visit the http://papiao.tv website and discover what looked like the exact deal that my father was looking for.
While on the site, I was given what I believed to be three (3) promotional subscriptions to the channels I was looking for, as I needed one for each television in my father's home. However, the site did not make any mention of the source of the codes or that they were selling codes which intercepted or provided unauthorized access to DISH's satellite signal. As such, under the belief that my conduct was legal and that I was providing a donation for a discounted or upgraded FTA/IPTV service, I received multiple promotional subscriptions for personal use, for which I sincerely apologize.
