Ecuador’s Justice ruled against two administrators of server IKS 61a in a case of satellite pay TV signal piracy. They were penalized with one year of effective prison and a fine.
The Alianza Contra la Piratería de Televisión Paga reported that the investigation process took four years and involved the participation and joint work of the control and judicial entities.

The executive added that the entity “will continue to focus its efforts on the large pirate organizations at local and regional levels. This Ecuadorian success will also help us to dismantle the IKS 61 network in other Latin American countries.”
